For the Property Brothers’ Drew Scott, giving back is a necessary part of life. As a seasoned ME to WE traveller, the star of HGTV’s new show Forever Home has seen firsthand the lasting impact individual contributions can have through WE’s international development model. It started with a visit to Kenya in 2017 with then-fiancée Linda Phan. From there, the pair shared their mutual passion for philanthropy by asking wedding guests for donations to WE’s clean water programs in lieu of gifts, before spending their honeymoon on a second trip with ME to WE—this time in Ecuador. From backstage at WE Day Vancouver, Scott recalls life-changing memories from his travels with ME to WE, while offering up advice to young people interested in changing the world at home and abroad.
