What a way to start the WE Day season! Today, young change-makers from across Toronto gathered at the Scotiabank Arena to witness an unparalleled celebration of good.
From Sarah McLachlan and the Regent Park Choir's hauntingly beautiful performance of "Angel" and Rupi Kaur’s chill-inducing reading of “Broken English” to Chloe Wilde sharing a thoughtful moment with youth speaker Jacob Grosberg, WE Day Toronto had the tears flowing and the cheers echoing.
Featuring inspiring stories from teachers who go above and beyond for their students and candid talks about mental well-being and the environment, the 18,000 youth in the audience saw their passion for changing the world reignited. We can’t wait to see what they’ll accomplish next—maybe they’ll make a global impact by volunteering on a ME to WE Trip, or visit the WE Global Learning Center to plan their year of good. With support and resources from WE Schools, anything is possible!
Check out 10 behind-the-scenes moments straight from the talented performers and inspiring speakers of WE Day Toronto!
